Why photography?

In a photograph, a sunset can paint the clouds with a color that has never adorned them on earth. In the merest moment, a photograph can invoke joy, horror, disgust, wonder. We snare the essence of light with little magical silver spheres, and we conjure the otherworldly into this world. Photographs can be more real than real. Photographs can create reality. I am a photographer.
